A quick mention for Port Gregory where we camped last night, which has a most confusing Barbie pink lagoon. The camera does not do it justice, the sea is pink as pink can be.

It is the biggest algae farm in the world. The international chemical company Cognis owns the Pt Gregory algae farm, where it produces beta carotene for pharmaceutical products and yellow food dye. The farm has been in production since 1978, with 450 hectares of ponds growing dunaliella salina algae
