sharks, manta rays, and more dolphins

We are now only 400km north of Perth, having covered some ground since we left Shark Bay 3 days ago.

We did a sunset trip on Shotover and the water was much calmer and less choppy than the previous sailing.

James dog had a fantastic week swimming in the sea, rolling in wet rotting seagrass and scavenging dried fish.

Many thanks for all the birthday wishes, we spent an extra day in Monkey Mia so that I could be spoiled with a meal out and get another dolphin fix. Vanessa even baked a birthday cake in the van.

On leaving Shark Bay we had a night's free camping by the sea, and stopped off at 'Ocean World' where we had a demonstration of what happens when you wave a dead fish on a bit of string in front of a 1.5 metre lemon shark.

The viewpoint at Eagle Bluff affords great views of the sealife, and we watched sharks and manta rays from above.
